While I enjoy my acupuncture afterglow (I can’t decide if I always feel energized after acupuncture because it’s working or because I get a 15-minute power nap while there), let me just say that the dirty chai is one of God’s gifts to womankind.
Also, if you know who I am and where I live, you can read my cover story on a famous director in my local alt-weekly. Please do enjoy and let me know what you think!

I’d go see any John Sayles movie regardless, even after the rather serious misstep of Silver City, but that was a thoroughly enjoyable article.
By the way, the special edition of Eight Men Out, with commentary by Sayles, comes out March 18.

Great article. Of course, I’m a long-time Sayles fan. By the way, I would recommend Pete revisit Silver City. As you mentioned in your article, many Sayles’ films benefit from repeat viewing. I too found Silver City a bit flat on first viewing, but strangely compelling the second time around.
